MM Cross-Axis Joint upgrade replaces a worn cross-axis joint on a Mustang Cobra IRS spindle. Maximum Motorsports' spherical bearing conversion is far less expensive than OEM Ford replacements!
What is a cross-axis joint?
The IRS cross-axis joints are the pivots on the rear uprights (spindles) where the rear control arms attach. Each spindle has an upper joint and a lower joint, for attachment of the upper and lower control arms.
MM's upgraded replacement for the plastic-bushed OEM Ford joint utilizes a high-strength PTFE-lined spherical bearing. These bearings provide long service life, along with easier and less expensive future maintenance.Notes
