Street, Sport and MM2 OUT of stock and no longer available
These 2nd-Gen MM dampers are superseded by the new 3rd-Gen MM dampers – Coming very soon!
MM Struts: Better by Design
MM's Engineering Team created a robust strut housing that contains an inverted monotube insert with MM-specified valving.
- Exclusive MM valving is the key to superb performance and good ride quality for the Street and Sport series. The Race series fulfills the goal of excellence at the track.
- Robust, high-grade alloy steel strut mounting ears on the proprietary MM-designed and -manufactured housings prevent bending from the high brake-reaction loads resulting from today's sticky tires and high-grip brake pads.
- Coil-over ready; no modifications required for the MMCO-1 kit.
- Monotube design provides superior damping.
- The inverted design allows for large strut shaft bushings, providing more resistance to deflection from cornering loads.
- Reduced fading through high gas pressure and monotube design.
- Choice of applications: Street, Sport, or Race.
See the Spring Rate tab for a list of spring rates that each MM strut series will control.
Spindle fitment
These struts fit:
- 1987-1993 Mustang V8 spindles.
- 1984-1986 SVO Mustang spindles.
- All 1994-2004 Mustang spindles.
- 1987-1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe spindles.
Coil-over installation requires
The choices are confusing. How do I order?

MM Struts: Better by Design
- MM-designed damping curves for high-performance driving
- Monotube design
- Nitrogen gas pressure
- Inverted design results in very large shaft for increased resistance to deflection.
- Internal bumpstop
- MM-designed and -manufactured housing has high-grade steel mounting ears to eliminate bending from brake-reaction loads.
- Dustcover included with Street series.
- Race series has altered spindle-mounting ear location to increase bump travel by 9/16".
